Denise Heroux

Owner & Pet Stylist

Denise has over 25 years of grooming experience. She is the owner of Awesome Paws and strives to provide a healthy working environment that promotes the growth of her employees to be able to provide the best and most up to date care to all of our clients. She is training to be a Certified Master Cat Groomer through Professional Cat Groomers’ Association of America, is an active member of the International Pet Groomers Association, and International Society of Canine Cosmetologists. She loves competing and has taken 1st and 2nd placements in “Rescue Me” Rodeos. She loves grooming all breeds, but especially enjoys terriers and cats. When not grooming, running her business and being a super-mom, Denise works with the local pet pantry to help with donations, and attends events to aid local pet charities.  She is owned by her 2 Pit Bulls, Rory Pickles & Dilly!

Amy esker

Pet Stylist & Double coat Specialist

Amy started grooming six years ago after a previous four years in the animal industry going to school to become a veterinary technician, she started grooming out of a love for dogs and wanting to “make them look and feel their best,” she also loves working with and learning different breeds and their cuts. Amy has a handling ability like almost no other groomer, she can make the most nervous or aggressive dogs calm down and feel comfortable and trusting enough to let her groom them. Amy’s love for learning breed standard cuts has developed an amazing attention to detail which she wants to build even more in the future by attending seminars, learning new techniques and products to use. Amy is owned by Bailey her Border Collie/ Australian Shepherd mix, but hopes to grow her flock soon!

Hannah Artrip

Pet Stylist

Hannah graduated from the Medina County Career Center’s Animal Care program. She got into the industry out of a love for animals that the Career Center helped mold and funnel into grooming. Hannah is a fast learner which has helped her to get both pet and human CPR and First-Aid certifications. She has also been around and owned pets her entire life so she knows how to read and work with them. What makes Hannah and especially great bather his her willingness to get both soaked and covered in hair during the bathing process. Eventually she would like to become a groomer as she enjoys cleaning up pups and making them look cute! Hannah is owned by her dogs Aussie and Powder, as well as Meatball, Iyanus, Anthus, Tanius, Bean, Edgar, Allen, Toby, Princess, and Yuki, who are all her rats.

Destiny Lang

Pet Stylist

Destiny found her love for working with animals at the Medina County Career Center’s Animal Care program, she used this experience and schooling as a springboard to enter the grooming world and she has been with us for two years now. She has an abundance of care for every animal that steps paw onto her table. Her first concern is always the comfort and safety of your pet, working to build up your pup’s trust with every appointment. Destiny is not only an amazing groomer, she’s also a prospective writer and is hoping to one day publish her own novels. Destiny is proudly owned by Jupiter her dachshund as well as Bam and Meonji her two chinchillas.

Sidney andrews

Pet Stylist

Sidney has wanted to work with animals since she got out of school, the past year she has been grooming as a member of the Awesome Paws’ team. She is passionate and friendly towards her animals and quickly growing into a great groomer. At home she has a Yorkie/Bichon mix named Coco.

Jacki Myers

Pet Stylist

Jacki has spent over twenty years grooming for conformation shows and the last eight years grooming for the public, she made the switch to help foster a calmer and more enjoyable environment for her and the dogs in it. With so many years of experience Jacki has seen just about everything, meaning it's not often that she doesn’t know how to safely and successfully handle a situation. Jacki is both sympathetic to the needs of the pet and the owner, she cares about each animal she grooms and the wishes of their owner. She now wants to work on improving her grooming and becoming more versatile, especially with grooming cats. She has quite the animal family at home, there’s Harry a Doberman Pinscher, her Poodle mix Ben, Pixel a long haired Calico, Griffin a Domestic long haired cat, and dodger and short haired gray Tabby.

Toni Payton

Pet Stylist

Toni became a groomer in 2019 because of her love for and hopes of helping animals in need. She is patient and compassionate about all her animals and is knowledgeable about canine behaviors and training, With her background in behaviors and training Toni always puts the safety of your pet first and to build their trust in her and the grooming process. She would eventually like to participate in grooming competitions and make every dog that comes to her table look and feel like it's competition ready. Toni is owned by her two dogs, Chanel a Pitbull, China her Chihuahua, four snakes named Inferno, Helen, Ellie, and Fresno, as well as a Russian Tortoise fittingly named Lenny.

Diane Westfall

Receptionist

Diane has been in the pet industry for over 15 years working at vet clinics. Passionate for canine agility, she loves to go to trials and learn new ways to train and handle. She enjoys taking her dogs Karma, Rue and Olive for walks, and kayaking as often as possible. She is also owned by her 2 cats- Addie and Pancho, 5 finches, a bearded dragon and a box turtle.
